November 2024 Release
The following features and fixes were released in November 2024.
Bundle Search on Storefront - Now in addition to displaying up to 6 bundles on your storefront home page, your customers are able to search for bundles in the storefront.
Storefront Banner - You can now upload a banner to be displayed on your storefront home page. You can also set the banner to link to a specific page of your storefront, or an external location.
Custom Themes (Enterprise Only Feature) - If you have multiple storefronts with similar branding, or want to upload your own CSS file for advanced customization of the look and feel of your storefront, you can now create a custom theme. Simple navigate to the storefront settings in Adaptive Catalog, and there will be a Themes section. Any themes you create there will be available to select on your global or storefront specific settings, and any updates will instantly apply to all storefronts.
Workspace Drag and Drop Re-ordering - You can now re-order items on your workspace by simply dragging and dropping them. This will not only be reflected in extensions such as opportunity update or CPQ punchout, but also on Storefront bundles.
Manually Run Folio Product Import - For supported folios (Currently ConnectWise PSA and Autotask), you can now manually trigger a product import. This will add the import into our import queue immediately, and should run within the next hour. Please note: this can be extremely intensive on your CRM and Adaptive Catalog instance, so do not run this unless necessary. We suggest letting the imports run on their scheduled times.
New Vendor Settings - You can now globally adjust certain vendor settings on a new “Vendor Management” page. This will allow you to change how the vendor is displayed in Adaptive Catalog (Display Name), and how the vendor is sent to punchout integrations (Punchout Name). As an example, you might want to change the vendor “Synnex” to pass to ConnectWise CPQ as “TD SYNNEX” to reflect how CPQ displays and sources TD Synnex Products.
Enhanced Vendor Filtering for Saved Searches - Saved Searches listed on storefront will now merge vendor filters on the saved search and vendor filters on your storefront. You can now also set vendor filtering to be inclusive or exclusive on the storefront or global storefront settings.
As an example, if your saved search has “In Stock” for Ingram Micro, TD Synnex, and ConnectWise PSA and your storefront has filtered to only include products from Ingram Micro, D&H, and ConnectWise PSA, the saved search will find the best match for a products that are in stock from Ingram Micro or ConnectWise PSA, as TD Synnex has been filtered out on the storefront and D&H has been filtered out on the saved search.
Bug Fixes
The following bugs were fixed this month:
Quantity Warning When Sufficient Quantity - Certain scenarios would cause a warning to appear on the workspace about insufficient quantity from your selected vendor when the vendor did have enough on hand. This should now be resolved.
Punchout Workspace Navigation - When navigating to Adaptive Catalog from ConnectWise CPQ via punchout, your temporary punchout workspace will now be set as the default instead of the last accessed workspace
Cost Display Bug - For certain out of stock products, costs would not be displayed until real time results came in, even if a price file had been loaded for that vendor or cached data was available. This has now been resolved.
Resolved Scroll Bar Issue on Storefront - When navigating to your cart from product add, some users were unable to scroll properly until reloading the web page. This should now be resolved.
Ingram Micro Real Time - Some customer may have noticed that not all pricing data was returning for Ingram Micro, based on a new limitation of the Ingram Micro v6 APIs. We have refactored our integration to work around this limitation. You may notice that pricing updates for smaller sets of products will take slightly longer to return. For the fastest real time results, you can disable the quantity price break lookups, however this will only display pricing at a quantity of one.
In addition, we have added some extra logic to our validation of Ingram Micro accounts to handle accounts with no permissions. This should now display a warning that no data was returned and this is likely a permissions issue on the Ingram Micro account.
Unsetting Storefront Item Markup Type can Prevent Inherit from Global - In some scenarios, setting the markup type to a value such as “Gross Margin” or “Fixed” and then setting it back to “Inherit from Global” can result in the product failing to inherit from global markup type and instead choose “Markup Percentage”. This should now be resolved.
Null On Hand Results in Missing Cost Column - If a product has a null on hand (such as ones imported from a CRM) and is out of stock, it would not display the cost in the vendor specific column. This has been resolved and should always display the cost.
